Catechetical Workshop

Exploring Catholic Social Teaching, San Francisco Group 3

September 02, 2022
8:00 am - 1:00 pm
Archdiocese of San Francisco (Our Lady of Mercy, Daly City)
Daly City, CA • Directions

We are excited to spend the day with teachers from the Archdiocese of San Francisco. Explore in-depth the Church’s social teachings and ways you can help your students learn how they are called to serve God and neighbor. You’ll explore topics such as human dignity, solidarity, the corporal and spiritual works of mercy, the proper role of government, the different types of justice, and our call to care for the poor and vulnerable.

You'll also receive a free copy of Exploring Catholic Social Teaching, a supplemental teacher's guide packed with fully-developed lesson plans and activities that will help you engage your students with the Catholic Faith.

This Workshop blends scholar presentations with interactive pedagogical sessions, giving you a chance to explore content with a respected speaker, as well as explore and simulate practical teaching strategies with ready-to-use classroom materials. Share best practices with your fellow teachers, and engage in both formal and informal discussions as we honor you in your vocation.

Registration for this event is being handled by the Office of Catholic Schools. This is one of four locations for this event. Each school will be assigned to a location.
