Spirit of Truth

Help Your Students Become Saints

This new K-8 curriculum helps you take your students into a deep and lasting journey through the Catholic Faith. Unlike typical textbooks, Spirit of Truth provides you with a full year of varied and engaging lessons, helping you create a learning environment that captures students’ imaginations while improving knowledge retention.

And because we are a non-profit, Spirit of Truth costs less than other textbooks, enabling you to get a whole lot more for a whole lot less.

Most of all, Spirit of Truth helps young people integrate what they learn into their daily lives so they can become the saints God is calling them to be.

What makes Spirit of Truth unique?

  • You'll have an engaging and flexible lesson plan for every day of the year that excites kids about our Faith, ensuring no class will ever be dry or mundane.
  • Experience joy as you watch your students go from knowing the Faith to living the Faith as you show how each teaching leads us into an ever-deepening prayer life.
  • You'll lead students into a meaningful encounter with Scripture in an age-appropriate way. Older students use their own Bibles, developing in them the habits of engaging daily with God's Word.
  • Watch your students' sense of wonder grow as you discuss sacred art and tell vivid stories of the saints — not presented as afterthoughts, but tied neatly into the lessons.
  • Choose from a variety of activities offering differentiated instruction, enabling you to reach students at various skill levels, backgrounds, and familiarity with the Catholic Faith.
  • Help religion to permeate your school and show students why the Faith matters using a variety of interdisciplinary activities.
  • Make knowledge of the Faith stick as each lesson blends traditional methods with proven 21st Century innovations.
  • Grow in your own Faith — and as a Catholic educator — as you learn how to teach as Jesus taught through background essays, useful tips, and proven teaching strategies.
  • Master your new curriculum through a free online training session that will help you and your colleagues take full ownership of all that Spirit of Truth offers.
  • Be supported by a master teacher who is personally assigned to your school and available to answer questions and help facilitate a successful implementation of Spirit of Truth.
  • You get 40% off student workbooks when you order 10 or more copies, making Spirit of Truth far less expensive than leading textbooks.

"Spirit of Truth doesn't present religion as a simple set of facts and rules dictating how we should act. It connects students with the Faith and leads them to understand why their faith matters in their day-to-day living."
Chris Mominey
Secretary for Education
Archdiocese of Philadelphia
Through its engaging and authentic presentation of the Faith, Spirit of Truth helps teachers grow closer to Christ so they can lead their students to encounter Him.

Student reaction to Spirit of Truth:

  • "Class was better by doing more activities and learning about new things, and old things were explained better."
  • "We get to use the Bibles. I think it makes class better because we can understand it by reading it ourselves."
  • "I've learned more about Jesus and knowing how to use the Bible."
  • "I learned more about Jesus this year and it helped me believe in Him more and more."
  • "My religion class has changed by us starting to read out of the Bible. We learn exactly what happened during Jesus' life."

What teachers are saying about Spirit of Truth

Spirit of Truth is an innovative and teacher friendly curriculum that fully equips any K-8 teacher with the tools and content they need to form their students as disciples of Jesus and knowledgeable Catholics. The resource is beautifully presented, deeply faithful, and developed by some of the best teachers in the country. Spirit of Truth engages students with a variety of creative pedagogies that help young people live their faith and grow in their relationship with God and the Church.
Dr. Michel Therrien, Diocese of Pittsburgh
Spirit of Truth is a remarkably helpful resource that faithfully introduce students to the fundamentals of Catholic teaching. With teacher aids, student books, ready-made exercises, and other such resources, this program delivers the a educational package that will help students become excited about learning the Catholic faith. I heartily recommend it.
Michael Barber, John Paul the Great Catholic University
The lessons in Spirit of Truth are extremely well done. My 5th grade students were excited about how interactive everything was, and many said they were coming to know Jesus better.
New York Teacher
The lesson plans are easy to follow and give just enough instruction to be helpful. As a veteran teacher, I appreciate the lesson plan organization without having my "hands tied" nor my "hands held" throughout the lesson.
Idaho Teacher
Our textbook is good but I still have to create lesson plans that unpack all the content. It takes me hours to do this. This resource does all that work for me. There is not a teacher in this school who wouldn’t prefer Spirit of Truth.
New Hampshire Teacher
Spirit of Truth is exactly what is needed to teach what it means to be Catholic in the 21st century.
New York Teacher
As a middle school religion teacher, I have found it extremely difficult to find appropriate resources that engage students. Spirit of Truth is grade-level appropriate, addresses "real world" current issues, and promotes higher-level thinking.
New York Teacher
Spirit of Truth lessons are strong, interesting, and engaging. They offer multiple ways of presenting the information, so my students with different learning styles are able to develop an understanding the material.
North Carolina Teacher
These lessons are very engaging for the students. As I listened to group discussions, the students were really on target, focused, and willing to participate!
