IMPORTANT: ALL of the following setup steps MUST be completed before your teachers and students will be able to access the platform.

Digital Administrators: Login to admin.sophiainstitute.com using the credentials Sophia sends you. Change your password when prompted.
Create each class by assigning it a name (use whatever name you like - "Mrs. Jones 3rd Period" for example), and a grade level. Make sure you give the class a "start date" that is before today's date (We suggest July 1 - June 30.) You will go back and add teachers and students in step 5. To add teachers by importing a spreadsheet, click on "Institute" and then "list." Then click on "Import Data."
Choose "teachers" as type of import. Download the template, and without changing any of the headers, upload your teachers' names, emails, addresses, phone numbers, and create temporary passwords for them. They will be prompted to change their passwords when they first log in. You can use the school address and phone number for all your teachers. Note that teachers' emails address are their usernames and therefore must be unique among all teachers everywhere using Spirit of Truth Digital Edition.
To add teachers manually, click "System Users" and then click "Create." Fill in all fields. Note that teachers' emails address are their usernames and therefore must be unique among all teachers everywhere using Spirit of Truth Digital Edition.
Navigate to classes and click list. You should see the classes you created in Step 2. Then click import data for the class you are ready to add students for.
Download the template, and without changing any of the headers, upload your students' names, grades, parent emails, and give each student a username and passwords. Note that usernames must be unique among all students everywhere using Spirit of Truth Digital Edition. IMPORTANT: you were given one extra student license per grade level. This extra license is provided so that each teacher can have a sample student account in order to log into the student workbook. Remember to include these when you are inputting student information.
To add students manually:
Once students are added, finish setting up each class with a teacher, and confirm the start date is before today's date (We suggest July 1 - June 30.)
Any additional students can also be added at this time.
Log in to the user management and view all classes to check setup status.
Once you have verified that teachers are assigned to the correct classes and students, give your teachers their usernames and passwords. They will be prompted to change their passwords when they first log in.
Set up student accounts: Your IT manager and/or parents and teachers can set up tablets by downloading either the Apple or Android student app. IMPORTANT: The textbook app will not appear in the app store on mobile phones; it will only appear on tablets. Links to each are at learning.sophiainstitute.com. If students are using the browser version, no set-up is necessary, they may simply visit http://app.sophiainstitute.com . Important! The textbook app will not appear in the app store on mobile phones; it will only appear on tablets.

Finally, give student login information to the appropriate teachers, parents, and students.
