Teacher-Written Lesson

Using Popular Culture in the Classroom

  • Written by TEST TESTING

Lesson Overview

The songs, films, TV shows, and stars of popular culture often work against catechetical goals. But used wisely as a means of making contact with students, these cultural references can open up conversations about God's transforming love. This handout includes lots of practical ideas for activities, discussions, connections to Scripture, and charatcer analysis to help ensure the discussion only begins with popular culture references and does not end there.

This resource was developed as a supplement to The Seven Sacraments: The Foundation of Christian Living teacher's guide.
