Joy of the Gospel - Four Lessons for June 2015

Lesson Overview

As the school year is winding down and students are headed home for the summer, we're including more of an emphasis on discussion and prayer for our Joy of the Gospel eLessons in June. These resources are written so they will work whether you are using them in class, or students are using them at home with their families. 

This lesson packet includes discusson guides and suggestions for activities to do before or after Mass for the four Sundays in June: 

June 7, 2015: Mark 14:12-16, 22-26 - Understanding the Solumnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ

June 14, 2015: Mark 4:26-34 - Students analyze the parable of the mustard seed; includes resources for enthroning the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the home

June 21, 2015: Mark 4:35-41 - Students examine Psalm 46 and compare the psalmist's prayer to the hope Jesus gives us when He calms the storm

June 28, 2015: 5:21-24, 35B-43 - Comparing and contrast sacred art by Duccio and Michelangelo to reflect on the mystery of God's life-giving love
