Lesson Overview

December 6, 2015 – Second Sunday of Advent, Luke 3:1-6
Students will consider practical ways they can prepare for the coming of Christ into their lives during this Advent season, and lift their hearts to God in prayer. 

December 13, 2015 – Third Sunday of Advent, Luke 3:10-18
Students use sacred art to consider John’s message of loving our neighbor and explore the meaning of Baptism by the Holy Spirit. 

December 20, 2015 – Fourth Sunday of Advent, Luke 1:39-45
With music as an extra inspiration, students reflect upon Mary’s role in the Incarnation of the Son of God and consider how they can say “yes” to God in new ways in their own lives. 

December 27, 2015 – Feast of the Holy Family, Luke 2:41-52
Students will reflect on how they can be more aware of Jesus' presence in their own families this Christmas season and praise God for the things that have brought them joy.
