Lesson Overview

This month, your students will create an illustration of Jesus' work of salvation, reflect on how Jesus went against social norms, learn about the season of Lent, reflect on their own spiritual journey, and contemplate the mystery of the Incarnation. 

FEBRUARY 4, 2018, FIFTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
Student create an artistic representation of Jesus' work of salvation. 
 
FEBRUARY 11, 2018, SIXTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME
Students reflect on how Jesus went against the social norms of His time and consider how they can follow His example.
 
FEBRUARY 14, 2018, ASH WEDNESDAY
Students learn about the season of Lent and consider three pillars of Lenten practice. 
 
FEBRUARY 18, 2018, FIRST SUNDAY OF LENT
Upper and middle elementary students reflect on their daily spiritual journey using an examen, while lower elementary students reflect on prayer using sacred art. 

FEBRUARY 25, 2018, SECOND SUNDAY OF LENT
Students analyze sacred art to help them contemplate the mystery of the Incarnation.
